Keeva Learns Photo Editing Skills

22-03-2017

Today I’ve been volunteering with Inspired Youth again.

After yesterdays meeting in which Inspired Youth joined together with Your Consortium to begin the tour  accross York, North Yorkshire and East riding, there was some editing of photos that needed to be done. Using photoshop, we selected a variety of photos which were taken at the meeting yesterday and individually edited each one. Due to the indoor lighting, some of the photos needed to have their colouring adjusted, but changing the saturation, vibrance, clarity and other aspects of the pictures made a huge difference to how they looked.

Here you can see the difference between before & after we edited the images:

You can instantly see the huge difference between the brightness, colouring and clear quality between the two images.

After editing the pictures, i worked with Liam to create a blog post on the Big Thinking website about their tour with Your Consortium.

I have really enjoyed being able to see the process and learning how to use the photoshop software, and feel like i’ve learnt a useful skill today, I am really looking forward to being able to do more volunteering with Inspired Youth, and getting to see more of the range of work that they do.
