Inspirational Young People win National Award for “A world of good”

Care experienced young people from York have scooped a National Award at the Kids Count National Awards at Westminster for their experience driven fictional story exploring the care journey. Their Care Story project and their story “A world of Good was produced in partnership with Inspired Youth and Show Me That I Matter (SMTIM), Yorks children in care council.

The story was developed through a series of creative workshops delivered by Inspired Youth, funded by Joseph Rowntree Foundation. The creative development culminated in conversations between young people and former NME journalist and author of The Looked After Kid, Paolo Hewitt. The Most Inspirational Campaign on Youth Issues award was presented at a prestigious event attended by members of Parliament at the houses of parliament and makes the youth group multi-award winners.
