Inspired Youth have partnered up with Foster Focus to create a brand new Foster Carer recruitment campaign for Kirklees Council. The campaign has been in development and is being shaped through consultations with professionals and foster carers to draw on real life experience to create key messages. Today we met with foster carers from Leeds and Kirklees to explore how the rewards of becoming a foster carer outweigh the challenges. Today was the second of two sessions engaging with the voices of experience to help us shape a campaign that was on point and engaged with potential foster carers. The session was facilitated by Kev Curran & Liam Powers of Inspired Youth along side Luke Rodgers, Founder of foster focus, an organisation delivering services designed to improve the life chances and statistics for children in care.
